Y'ello Guard was developed by MTN graduates Lungelo Gwala, Senam Tsormetsri, Ziyanda Thomas, and Koketso Kekana through the UN Global Compact SDG Innovation Accelerator Programme.
The AI-powered solution responds to the urgent rise in online harms by helping shield children from predators, limit exposure to harmful content, and reduce cyberbullying. It connects responsible technology with a human need: giving children and families greater confidence in digital spaces.
The project directly advances SDG 16.2 on ending abuse, exploitation, and violence against children, while also contributing to SDG 3 on health and well-being.
